Titi Bacorta and Ale Hop’s collaboration, unveiled on their debut album Mapambazuko, showcases a bold blend of pop experimentalism that merges danceable electronica with fiercely fragmented soukous. 

Their sound fuses the pulsating rhythms of reimagined Congolese music with hypnotic guitar riffs and buoyant electronics. 

On Mapambazuko, Kampala-based Congolese guitarist Titi Bakorta brings his signature psychedelic approach to Congolese folk, filled with intricate guitar loops and fuzzy tones, which perfectly complement the finely textured, fragmented electronics, noisy guitars, and synthesizers of Peruvian sound artist Ale Hop.
