(SHORT BIO) Recently propelled on the global stage during the Nyege Nyege curated Mara showcase at the New Afrika Shrine, Azzi On The Beat is tipped to blow up the way DJ Travella or DJ Lag have, writing a new chapter in the history of African Electronic Music. Compared to other scene heavyweights like DJ Tobzy, DJ Cora and YK Mule, Azzi stands out for delivering 100% live sets as well as constantly experimenting with larger collaborative ensembles through his monthly “One Night, One Gathering”, a series of one off experimental performances where Azzi invites MCs, performers and instrumentalists in the neighborhood of Bariga in Mainland Lagos.
