AUNTY RAYZOR
PRESS
Bisola Olugbenga, known as Aunty Rayzor, is a dynamic rapper and vocalist from Lagos, Nigeria. She raps in both English and Yoruba, and honed her skills through church singing and underground rap battles.
Her debut album Viral Wreckage (Hakuna Kulala, 2023) has been widely acclaimed: The Quietus calls her “one of Nigeria’s most ruthless emerging artists,” with hooks that “pierce deep into your flesh” and rhythms that are “unwaveringly danceable.” RA praises her “stylistic range and piercing flow,” presenting her as “a serious performer ready for world domination.” Boomkat highlights her “rugged, upfront West African and US rhythms,” while Loud And Quiet notes her verses are woven tightly around “cavernous bass and one-finger synth lines,” blending Afrobeat, hip-hop, and dancehall in a singularly compelling style.
Known as an incredible live performer, Aunty Rayzor delivers high-energy, hard-hitting shows, lighting up stages at Roskilde Festival, Paleo Festival, Couleur Café, Rewire Festival, Donaufestival, Colours of Ostrava, and numerous sold-out performances in Nigeria including The Shrine during Felabration. Her razor-sharp flow, versatile vocal delivery, and fearless stage presence make her one of Nigeria’s most compelling contemporary rap voices.
